| Random brainstorming of possible gameplay | |
|---|---|
| 1 | [two/ more players] parent-child blood type wheel: randomly spin two wheels for the parent's blood type and connect the possible child blood type bag to the parents |
| 2 | [three/ more players] Blood type match game: have three sets of 8 blood type cards, two player pick the parent cards randomly while one player tries to match the child card |
| 3 | [two/more players] |
| have 6 blood bags for the 6 types of blood groups (in term of genotypes), the blood types of the blood bags are unknown. players place any two blood bags on the two sides of the screen to see what is the child's inherited blood group and from trial and error, players are suppose to guess the respective blood group of the unlabelled blood bags.Ā (3 test tubes with syringe to mimic a patient having blood transplantĀ ) |
How I envision the set up for Option 3 will be:

Showing the phenotypes of the child blood types might be better to elevate the gameplay.

Concept 2 on blood inheritance / blood types of off-springs

Testing out the game play and logic within ourselves.

It was challenging to decide on the gameplay for the concept on blood inheritance. Oversimplifying it would make it too easy to arrive at the correct answer, which wouldnāt provide a meaningful takeaway about blood inheritance. On the other hand, making it too comprehensive would result in overly complex gameplay, which might not be suitable for our tentative target users (kids) and could reduce the potential engagement with our concept.
